Job description:
A post-doctoral position is available at laboratory of Translational Oncology, headed by Professor Adriana Albini and Duglas Noonan, at IRCCS MultiMedica (Milan).
The laboratory is interested in tumor microenvironment biology, cancer biology, inflammation, angiogenesis, chemoprevention and angioprevention, cardiotoxicity associated with anti-neoplastic drugs, cancer stem cells and nanotechnologies.
Qualification:
We are looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral candidate with a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD, and a good track record in cancer biology. The strongest candidates should be skilled in primary cell culture, have expertise in a wide range of molecular and biochemical assays including RNA isolation, qRT-PCR, transfection, western blotting.
Experience in multicolor flow cytometry and animal handling will be a plus. Good verbal and written communication skills are required as far as the ability to work independently as well as cooperatively with a team.
For the right candidate this is an exciting opportunity to join a highly recongnized reserch group in the field of cancer biology, exploring several key feature involved in cancer heterogeneity and tumour microenvironment.
Desired Start Date: immediately available
Appointment term: 1 year, with option to extent
