VP Clinical Development search for a medical device company based in Toronto. The company is private and is developing a targeted treatment for wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD). It is based on the principle of feeder vessel photocoagulations and is designed to achieve reliable and safe CNV feeder vessel closure without damage to the surrounding tissue. (will be better than QLT). The VP Clinical Development/CMO would play a lead role in commercializing this technology. They have completed a proof of concept trial as part of Phase I/II. Initial results have confirmed the validity of the technique. Leading venture capitalists from the US and Canada have recently financed the company with $12.5 million US to proceed to the next commercialization steps. |
| Requirement |
Profile is a MD /PHD ophthalmologist with FDA Phase II and III clinical trials experience in ophthalmology. Person would be preferably located in Toronto but could also live in the USA. (preferably the northeast, Midwest or southwest) This is a wonderful opportunity for someone to make a significant contribution and to recognize some equity. Next round of financing will be an IPO. |
