Mars Exploration Rover Mission: Press Release Images

Ecco il panorama marziano visto dalla fortunata sonda Spirit. La sonda NASA, che sarà raggiunta da una sonda gemella, Opportunity, il 24 Dicembre.
Queste sonde porteranno anche una serie di DVD che verranno lasciati su Marte, che conterranno anche il mio nome e cognome.
Restiamo ancora in attesa di Beagle 2: Oggi 4 gennaio sarebbe dovuto esserci il recupero del più recente segnale del lander via Mars Express, come ora di arrivo del segnale è stato indicato sul beagle 2 timeline un T.B.D. poco chiaro..
Leggendo un comunicato del Mars Express: "on 7 January 2004 at 13:15 CET, the lowest point (pericentre) of the Mars Express flight path will be as close as 315 km to the landing area of the still silent Beagle 2. [..] “At this precise time, our Mars Express orbiter is in both an ideal flight path and an ideal communication configuration, right on top of the Beagle 2 landing area, at about 86 degrees. In this situation, we should be able to discern the slightest beep on the Martian surface.” "
Dunque sembra che dobbiamo attendere ancora tre giorni... stay tuned!
